Contamination may be caused by equipment exposure to fuel, hydraulic fluids, lubricants, solvents, cleaning agents, de-icing and antifreeze, runway de-icing agents, pesticides, disinfectants, insulation coolants, and fire extinguishing agents. After testing, Perseus high performance electric DC fans did not have antioxidant and soluble substances adsorption, seal or gasket failure, plastic and rubber cracking and expansion, corrosion, melting, decomposition and other related problems.
